We have Visitors!

Everyday we have deer just outside our door. There are a lot of deer around here.

The deer was just hungry. They do not seem to be very afraid of people.

It was trying to figure out who those weird people checking it out were! Usually there are 3-4 hanging together. We were in the pool Tuesday and there were 4 of them just outside the fence area. It was cool watching them.

Can I pet her?
We told you we were going to ride to the Bullard Bar Dam. It turns out it is like 665 feet tall which makes it the second tallest dam in California and the fifth tallest in the USA.

We have just arrived at the Dam
The Dam is about 12 miles from the campground. There were a lot of logging trucks on the road. Here is a picture of the lake.

Here is the dam from the lake side. The road actually drives across the dam.

Road across the dam

The dam is very impressive. It is huge. Why have we never heard of this?

5th tallest in the USA!
After riding across the bridge we went to the other side and found a Vista Point that had a picnic bench. We had taken our cooler filled with Bing and Rainier cherries as well as water bottles. Stopped for a few minutes and let the scooter cool off and enjoyed the cherries and the view.

We headed back to camp just in time for pool time. From 4-5 p.m. is Adult Swim time so all the kids have to leave the pool area. It is very peaceful during that time.

Love you guys,
Brian and Patty
