Shopping day

Today was a shopping day. We first called Matt White who owns a karate studio in Bend. He is a friend we know from Ventura. What a small world. He is Don White's son who is a friend from our church. Matt is married to Joanne who is Bill and Cheryl Meade's daughter who are our camping buddies!
We will get together with them some time this week and will go to church with them at Westside Church on Sunday.
Anyway between going to America's Tire and getting the tire's rotated, going to Costco, Fred Meyers, and of course Walmart we went to the highest point in Bend which is Pilot Butte Summit.

Pilot Butte Summit Park
There is a 360 degree view of Bend from the park. You can see Three Sisters and all the cascade mountains. It is beautiful with plenty of snow left on all the mountains!

Three Sisters Peaks
This one is Mount Bachelor. It is supposed to be a ski resort.

Mount Bachelor
Here Patty is showing off one of the downtown streets! :)

Enjoying the view
We ate at Pilot Butte Drive-in.

Good for the diet!
They were maybe the best burgers we had ever tasted! We were going to order one order of large fries and share but the girl suggested we order the small portion and share. It turns out the large is a full ONE POUND of fries! I don't know how much the small is, but we didn't finish them!

The good news is, that even though the burger probably wasn't good for us, we didn't even think of eating diner because we were still full!

Tomorrow we will probably take the scooter to Lava Tubes state park.

God Bless you all!
Brian and Patty
