Nevada City

Patty and I decided to drive the 37 miles to Nevada City. Seemed like it might be an interesting place to check out.
I started the long drive down the beautiful highway 49 towards Nevada City, CA. California? Yep go figure!

Taking the driving serious!
Patty always entertaining kept me laughing the whole way with her usual antics!

We finally arrived in Nevada City. Here is a picture looking down Broad Street which is the main street.

Across the street from where we parked is the Nevada Theatre.

We had intended to eat lunch in Nevada City. Although it was quite the cute town, it was a hippy town! That really surprised us! Everything was crystals and beads and incense and acupuncture and rocks and stones.

These must be the new hippies however that believe in capitalism. All the restaurants that served all natural tofu wheat germ grass leaf seed along their corn feed beef burgers had no problem charging $15.00 for a veggie or beef burger or cheese enchilada.

We decided to leave town after an enjoyable walk through. We stopped at a cowboy bar and grill we saw as we were driving in to town called Peterson's Corner. It had good reviews on Yelp. No Yippies or Hippies here.

Patty and fish and chips, I had the 1/2 lb. cheese burger with onion rings. I must say this did not fit into our losing weight plan, but this morning we had not gained any weight and we are back on track!

Love you all,
Brian and Patty

Its is hard to blog on this site. Sometimes it takes and sometimes it doesn"t. Can't quite figure out what the problem is. But anyway, Patty, you look great, Beautiful little and cute little town. Wouldn't mind living there, but the housing prices are more than here. Oh well. Keep blogging, love to see the pic's. Love you guys. Okay, I am publishing my comment. lets see if it works.
