Cannon Beach

June 30th
We went to Cannon Beach, Or to check out this beach side community. Saturday was a rainy, drizzly day all day. We decided not to be holed up in the RV and drove the short distance to Cannon Beach. We probably did not get a fair evaluation if the place because of the weather. They had a list of 15 historical sites so since Patty and I like that kind of thing, we followed the list and walked to each site. Probably waked about 2 miles in town with at least half of it in the drizzle.

At the start of the tour was this whale statue. You can see how gloomy the day is. That's OK though. The rain is why there is soooooooooo much green everywhere here!

Whale Statue
There are a lot of these large rocks off the coastline here. There are tide pools here also, but with the weather being what it was, we didn't feel inclined to go out and get our feet wet!

This street took us to the beach. We are heading back to the shopping areas.

Residential area
This is the main shopping street in town. About every other building had an historical placard on it.

Patty found her store! Being that storage is at a premium, she was a good girl and just looked!

Christmas Store
Like most tourist towns there were plenty of candy and ice cream stores. We did look, but did not eat any! It started raining pretty hard after this, so we decided to call it a day.

We got back and had diner, and went to adult swim. The indoor pool has been warmer the last few days and has been awesome! Really nice on a cool rainy day.

God Bless,
Brian and Patty
