Will we make it?

We have 25 hours to complete all tasks! Will we be done? The house is painted, the carpet cleaned and most everything moved out. I don't know where Patty and I are getting the energy from. Eye on the prize! Thanks to Cynthia for the help!
Tomorrow we shall see.  Good night, 5:00 am will come quickly!

Can't wait for this to start!

We are totally EXHAUSTED! We have concluded that Patty should be on that show Hoarders. On the plus side the Coalition Against Household Violence Thrift store is stocked to the brim!

Crystal and James have purchased our Ford Fusion. What a great family car that will be for them once they have the baby. James put the Camaro on Craig's List and had immediate interest in it. It looks like it is already sold. Praise God for that!

The painters come in today to paint the inside of the house. Are re ready for them?
No, but we will shift things around, continue to put things in the garage and make it work out. Thanks Brian Fox and Uncle Frank!

Our Cameo camped along the beach in Ventura
Just a week and 2 days and we head out on our awesome adventure!

Patty is free!

Yesterday was Patty's last day at work, or at least that's what she thinks! :)

Now the real work begins... We have two weeks to clear the rest of the stuff out of the house for our tenants to move in by Friday June 1.

Tracee and Latascha took Patty to a Texas BBQ place called Spring Street Smoke House BBQ in Los Angeles for lunch yesterday.

Spring Street Smoke House BBQ
Notice the whole loaf of white bread on the table? She said there was plenty of tears to go around. I am glad she got to retire on her terms and from a great organization like City of Hope! Thanks Tracee and Latascha for making Patty part of your team and being her friend! She already misses you!

Matthew is moving out of the house today and in with Aunt Cynthia. This is a HUGE deal as this is Matthew's only house he has ever lived in!

Matt and Jasmine in Haiti
The good news is that both our kids have been so well prepared and are awesome!!!!

Now after a brief rest it is on to more work!

Heading back home...

We will be leaving Seaside on July 7th after staying for 14 days. Seaside is considered one of the gems of the Thousand Trails system. We are excited about being here. We have been in the Northern Oregon area before and love it here. Next time we come here we will stay longer. There is also a TT in Long Beach, Wa that is not near as nice but next time we will stay there also to extend our time.

We will be heading south to Pacific City Thousand Trails and stay for another 14 days. There is lots of stuff to do around Pacific City. Sea Lion Caves, Tilamook Cheese factory, air museum and more!

View from Whalers Rest campsites

We will leave Pacific City on July 23 and head to Whalers Rest another Thousand Trails. This is near the town of Newport, Or and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. One week here and we will head for Florence, Or and the South Jetty Thousand Trails.

South Jetty Entrance

The reason we are using the Thousand trails campgrounds is because for a single annual fee we can stay up to 3 weeks free in each campground. Out for one week and we can be back in for 3 weeks again. Compare to $30-$40 per night for a normal campground and it is a real bargain!

We will stay seven nights at South Jetty and then on August 6 we head to an RPI campground in Klamath, Ca. I pay $10.00 per night in RPI's so if a TT is not available it is also a good deal. We will be staying at the Klamath River RV Resort for 7 nights.

Klamath River RV Resort

We will be leaving Klamath on August 13th heading for our beautiful niece Stevie's wedding in Middletown, CA. Her wedding is on August 25th. We will get there two weeks early so Patty can help with the wedding and so we can visit.

Stevie and Ryan

We will be staying at Frank and Suzie's Hidden Valley Association campground. We will leave on August 27th and go to the Sacramento Delta staying at an RPI Delta Shores Marina RV for 8 days.

Delta Shores Camping
This will get us past the Labor day weekend. On September 4th we head back to Ventura for Crystal's 30th birthday and to take care of medical stuff. After that we will stay in Southern California (Palm Springs, Banning, Julian, and Ventura) until after the holidays.

That's it for now.. I will update during our trip!

God Bless you all!!!

Next Three Months...

I thought I would post our itinerary for the next three months. Of course this can change depending on whether we like an area or not. But for now this is where we expect to be...

We leave Friday June 1 and head to a Thousand Trails called Yosemite Lakes. It is about 5 miles from the west entrance of Yosemite.

Yosemite Lakes Camping
We will be at Yosemite for 10 days leaving for Thousand Trails Lake of the Springs in Oregon House, Ca on June 11th. We will stay at Lake of the Springs for a week.

Lake of the Springs
Lake of the Springs is supposed to be a beautiful park and we are looking forward to visiting this one. We will be leaving Lake of the springs on Monday June 18th. We will stop for one night somewhere on the way to Bend, Oregon. Probably in Dorrris, CA at Butte Valley RV. We may just spend the night in a truck stop, not sure yet. We will get to Thousand Trails Bend/Sunriver on Tuesday June 19th and stay for 6 nights.

Bend/Sunriver Camping
Like Most Thousand Trails, Bend/Sunriver has a pool and Juccuzzi.

Bend/Sunriver Pool
We will be leaving Bend on Monday June 26th heading to Seaside, Or. This is the farthest North we will camp, however we will most assuredly drive up to Astoria and even to Long Beach, Washington for July 4th.

Seaside Camping
Indoor Pool and Juccuzzi...

I'll go to a new post for the way back south...

It's getting close!

We are taking care of as much doctor stuff as we can before we leave. I had succesful cataract surgury in my right eye last month. Dr. Steven Chang is a genius! He has given me the all clear in it. My vision is better in that eye then the left now. Patty and I are going to get new glasses this week.
Dr. Stout gave me clearance on the teeth implants he did. Dr. Petron started the crowns over them yesterday.
I talked with Dr. Bloom about my medications for my ongoing issues and since my numbers are improving finally he was good about giving me 6 month refills now.

We are finally in the final streatch. It is exciting but I would be lying to say we are not somewhat scared! This is a HUGE step in our lives!

Patty gave her notice to City of Hope last Monday. Her last day working will be May 18th. Tracee her boss said, "You Jerk"! , and then wished her well. The jerk comment was not mean, but in love because she will miss her! It is nice that she was able to retire from such an outstanding organization!

The pic is out our back window at Lake Havasu last June on our way back from picking up the 5th wheel.

More to follow!
