1 month to go!

We are about a month away and it is amazing how much there is to do. Crystal is expecting in October so that will keep us close to home at that time.

We are going to start by going to Yosemite, Oregon and then back down to our nieces wedding in Middletown, CA in August. Back to Ventura for Crystal's 30th birthday in September and then we will hang in Southern California (Palm Springs (with the Blankenbillers), Julian, Banning, Acton, etc.. We will long term in my mom's drive way from mid October to end of December for the birth of our first grandchild and for the holidays. Then we will take off for an extended trip to Texas and Yellowstone via Death Valley and Quartzsite.

Today I retired!

Well I made it! I am now 56 years old and I retired today from the County of Ventura. Wahoo!

They had a retirement party for me at work yesterday. It was great. 60-70 people. It was pretty emotional. My boss roasting me a little, but also saying some pretty nice things.

I wrote a few thoughts down and gave a small speech. All in all a great day!

One last thing, I sold the Roadstar a couple weeks ago, so that's one more thing I do not have to worry about.
