Idaho Falls, Id

I mentioned in yesterday's blog there were a few problems. Although I don't like to take things out of order in the blog since I am a month behind I will give a brief update and then give more information later.

On July 4th we had a major accident in Quincy, Washington. Our truck was T-boned by a smaller car at 50 mph. I watched the car as it came right into my drivers door. Because we sit taller in the 4x4 Dodge the Honda went under me and actually lifted us off the ground. The good news is that miraculously the other driver was just dazed but not hurt and Patty and I were not at all injured either! Both vehicles however are totaled!

On July 5th my brother had a major life threatening event. He is improving but it is a long term recovery.  It has been a trying week. Things are resolving and we thank God for our blessings!  As I said we will share more as I catch up the blog. Please DO pray for my brother for complete spiritual and physical healing!

On June 12th we drove in to Idaho.

We booked into North Bingham County Park which is about 10 miles from from Idaho Falls. We had a very nice end site with 50 amp electricy and water but no sewer. They did have a dump station we were able to use when we left.

As we drove into Idaho we saw Potato fields everywhere, so when we saw they had a potato museum a few miles away we had to go! This is a BIG baked potato!

The museum had information about how they farm the potatoes in Idaho. They also had a lot of old farm equipment.

I guess we should have realized they would have "falls" in Idaho Falls, but we didn't realize that the falls would be right in the middle of town.

You could walk along both banks of the river in town. In Loveland, Colorado we showed you the bronze statues they had in the park. Here in Idaho Falls they have art benches all along the river walk.

Here is the fish bench.

And of course this bench was a horse. There was a bench on both sides of the horse.

There was probably 50 benches total on both sides of the river. This one is a paper airplane.

We will have to come through here again and take more time. This trip we are just not taking enough time. We are spending 2 and 3 days at each location. We generally like spending at least a week. Next time!

Next we head into Montana before heading back into the Idaho Pandhandle.

Love you all and please pray for Bruce...

God Bless,
Brian and Patty
