As we head to Cayman Islands we move into to December. The ship is decorating for Christmas.

Christmas Decorations
I have also mentioned the ships shows. Here is the theater the shows are at. There are comedy shows, magic shows and musicals.

On the way to Cayman we passed Cuba, here is the Cuban shoreline.

We arrived in the Cayman Islands.

Cayman Islands
We booked an excursion off the boat called Acquarius Sea Tours. The take you on a boat to the  Stingray City Sandbar, a snorkel site and the Starfish Point.

Acquarius Sea Tours
For $50.00 a person you are picked up from the the cruise port and taken to the harbor. They have teir own boat, Big John.

Big John
Captain Mario and Crew member Dwayne try to make sure your trip is enjoyable. They supply all gear but again we brought our own mask and snorkel. We first went to Star Fish Point.

Starfish
For some reason the starfish come here and mate.

Captain Mario takes pictures and puts them on his web page for free.

Starfish Point
We next went to a coral reef. I didn't take any pictures here, and just left my phone in the boat. Mario took some pictures here. I have included a picture of Marios, although it is not one of us, it is our group, just to show how clear the water was.

Clear Water
We then went to Stingray City. It started raining really hard and the water was very choppy but we were getting wet anyway so might as well jump in!

Here is Dwayne (The Stingray Whisperer) handling one of the Stingrays. The were dozens of them swimming around us. They kept brushing up against us. You can see how big they were!

Sting Ray
Patty and I got friendly with this one. It is really cool because they know they are going to get fed so they come right up to you.

Sammy the Sting Ray
This one really got friendly with us! LOL!!

Smoochie!!
Mario gave us that wanted to some squid. He said to put it in our hand and make a fist. Then we were instructed to tuck our thumb into our fist so the Stingray does not try and suck our thumb down it's mouth. The Stingrays came and sucked the squid right out of our hands. It was interesting.

We then boarded our boat and headed back to the harbor.

Cayman Harbor
They drove us back to the Cruise Port. All in all it was about 3 1/2 hours. Well worth the $50.00 it cost.

We looked around town a little before heading back to the ship. Of course they had a Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. Where don't they in the Carribean? LOL!

Margaritaville
That's it for today...

Next stop is Cozumel and the Mayan Pyramids!

God Bless,
Brian and Patty
