We went exploring the other day to Durant, Oklahoma. We came across a small casino and met a lady who asked us where we were from. It turns out that she lived in Ventura when she was a child and went to kindergarten in Ventura. She didn't remember the name of the school though. She presently lives in Gordonville which is where we are staying now at the Thousand Trails. What a coincidence!

She told us about a HUGE casino about 35 miles from us in Thackerville, Ok. How big is it? The largest in the USA and the second biggest in the world as far as gaming space! The largest is in Macau China at 550 thousand square feet. This one is 520 thousand square feet. To put it in to perspective the largest casino in Las Vegas in the MGM grand with 170 thousand square feet!

We were told that on Wednesday and Thursday's they had a free senior breakfast buffet. Seniors were considered 55+ so we qualified!! It was actually pretty good. They had an omelette bar so they would make eggs to order. Bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, salads, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, juice, even brisket! lol.

The casino as I said was huge! It was separated into themed areas. Here is the London area.

They would have statues and usually some kind of restaurant that would have a connection to the area. Here they had a fish and chips restaurant and ale bar.

In the China area they had Mandarin Wok type restaurant.

You can see the dragons hanging from the ceiling. In this picture there is a fountain. The lights were always changing colors.

Not only did we get free breakfast, but we got some free gambling credit for signing up for their players cards. Patty was doing pretty good, doing a little better than breaking even which is good because that means we get to keep that which she wins, but I was losing the credit. Finally I got a machine that was paying! 

We ended up winning about $120.00 between the two of us, plus as I said we got free breakfast! Not bad for a day just goofing off. Also in the Indian casino's they have self serve beverage bars all through them, so you just get your own soft drinks for free! 

We had a lot of fun on WinStar! 

Well that's it for today. Next Tuesday we leave for El Reno, Oklahoma for 2 or 3 days.
